How much do you charge to Move?
Elite Movers Denver charge an hourly rate of $50.00 per mover hourly. If you need the use of a Box Truck we provide them for a flat rate daily. No additional fuel or mileage fee's are charged if you use one of our Box Trucks.
Do your box trucks have moving pads?
All of our Moving Trucks Are stocked with 60 moving pads, floor protector, door protector, dolly's, tape, and plastic wrap to guarantee the very best service.
How do I know I’ve chosen a reputable company?
When your searching for a reputable moving company you should always look at the company's reviews online. A good moving company will have multiple positive reviews on multiple platforms. Some of the best websites to look for company reviews are Yelp, Google, and the BBB.
Is my move insured?
Elite Movers Denver carriers 3 different types of commercial insurance. Elite Movers Denver carriers commercial General Liability insurance, commercial Auto Insurance, and commercial Cargo Insurance. Please see our Terms and Conditions for details.
Is there anything you won’t move?
We can’t move anything that is flammable, corrosive or explosive. In other words, we will be happy to move your BBQ grill, but please make separate arrangements for your propane tank. Please empty gas tanks. Please take cleaning fluids yourself or leave them behind. Please dispose of all opened food items before the move. Please visit our Terms and Conditions for a full list.
Do the movers take a lunch break?
Yes. Our movers do take lunch breaks during the working day, and you will not be charged for it.
Do you move pianos?
Yes. Elite Movers Denver has movers that are specially trained in moving pianos. Our trucks are equipped with the special equipment needed to move pianos. Whether your piano is a standard upright or a Steinway Concert Grand, it is in very good hands with Elite Movers.
What time will my movers arrive?
Elite Movers Denver provides each client with an arrival window when the appointment is booked. If a client books an afternoon appointment the crew will notify the client when their morning appointment has finished and they are on there way. The first appointment of the day is scheduled for 8am and the afternoon arrival window is normally 12pm-2pm.
Do I have to empty the file cabinets?
Metal vertical file cabinets can remain full, but lateral and wooden files must be emptied. The drawer slides on lateral and wood files are not made to take the weight of the files during moving per the manufacturers.
Do I have to empty the freezer or refrigerator?
Yes, the chest freezers can remain full. Refrigerators must be emptied to avoid the contents damaging the inside of your appliance.
Will Elite Movers Denver remove the mirror from the dresser?
Yes. Elite Movers will bring along all the necessary tools that are needed to remove and re-install any mirrors attached to your dresser. Items mounted to walls can be taken down for the move but Elite Movers do not mount or install items to walls.
How big are your trucks?
We own and operate our own moving vans. Elite movers own 13 foot, 17 foot, and 26 foot box trucks.
Will Elite Movers Denver take apart my beds?
Yes. Elite Movers will bring all the tools to disassemble and reassemble your beds. If your bed has air or water fill, please empty it before moving day. Some beds do require additional services and costs, such as: log beds, very complicated bunk bed systems and canopy beds. All the bedding should be removed before the movers arrive.
Do you provide packing services?
Yes. Our fully trained packing and crating staff is ready to help you with any size project. We also have professional organizers available to help with the pre-packing sorting and organizing.
Do you offer storage?
No, at this time we do not offer any storage.
What do you consider a large box and what do you consider a small box?
Large boxes 4.5 cubic feet and a small box is 1.5 cubic feet. Large boxes are to be carried one at a time. Small boxes can be carried two or more at a time.
Can I leave clothing in my dressers?
Yes. Elite Movers will move your dressers with the drawers in them. In very tight hallway situations, it's better to have the drawers packed. Also antique, particle board and generally weak furniture should be completely empty. You can leave cloth items in the drawers. Please remove all jewelry, perfume and non-clothing items.
Do you move out of state?
NO, not at this time.
How do you protect my house?
Elite Movers carry a number of items to protect your new and existing home from damage. We have floor runners to protect your carpets and floors, doorway protectors for your front door and pads for cabinets and railings. We will also use our moving pads for additional protection as needed.
What type of payments do you accept and when?
We accept cash, personal checks, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover. All credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee.
Do movers get tips?
Although it’s not required, many of our customers have shown their appreciation by tipping the movers.
Do you unhook appliances?
No, we do not unhook your appliances.
Do you unhook electronics?
Due to the complexity of today’s technology, our movers cannot be trained in all the different systems that are available today. Because of this, we ask that all electronics are disconnected before we arrive.
Do you dispose of items?
Yes, we can take items to donation centers near by. Unfortunately we do not offer haul away services or refuse removal.
How can I move my hanging clothes?
Elite Movers Denver will move all the contents of your closest as long as they as packed, hanging cloths can be transported in moving pads, we can also provide wardrobe boxes.
Will you move a piece of furniture within my home?
Yes. Elite Movers Denver can move items within your home. Please ask about pricing.
What happens if an item will not fit in my house?
There are times when an item will not fit at a new home. We will do everything in our power to make the item fit, but we will not disassemble the furniture or your home to make the item fit. If it does not fit, we will place the item wherever you request, or we can take it to storage.
On those larger moves, how much do you charge per piece?
We are very proud to say we do not charge per piece! Elite Movers Denver is an Hourly moving service. Our professionals are experienced in all types of commercial/residential relocation. So whether you want us to move a 3 drawer desser or 1000lb safe, we will only charge you for the time it takes to get the job done.
Do you Provide Mattress Covers?
Elite Movers Denver have Mattress Bags available upon request. The Bags are not included with Service and need to be Requested prior to the appointment.
